bleh

So I haven't really been in the mood to do much these days...maybe it's the weather? But I'm out of my funk and hopefully I won't be such a slacker with my blog. It's really hard to be "intentional" about things, no? And the crazy thing is that I don't even have kids to use as an excuse for why I'm not getting things done.

Oh well. So hopefully I'll post on some of the things to come. Here is a project that I have been working on for the past week...or two...

My closet fell. Yes...alas, the standard wire shelving gave up. It's not that we have too much crap...it's...well, okay, maybe just a little.

Sorry, this is kinda a weird angle, but as you can see, it's not a pretty sight. It took me a while because I didn't want to go back to that wire mess, but I didn't want to spend a "house payment" on my little itty-bitty closet. I settled for the middle of the road. Hopefully it will add value to our house.

Not only did it take me a while to pick the system, but it took me a while to figure a layout. Then I took a few hours and PURGED all the things we no longer wear!!!! Finally, today after work, I went to Home Depot and picked up all the things I needed and will spend the next week installing it. You see, I can't just assemble the pieces and stick em in. I have to cut out portions of the baseboard and secure them to the wall. Either that or pull out the WHOLE baseboard, cut the piece and reinstall the baseboard...oh I certainly hope not.

All those websites that say this is a weekend project are crazy!!!!!
